Project Info.
The latest addition to SDSU’s Life Sciences research enterprises, the BioScience Center, will house a diverse group tasked with a common goal – defining ways in which infectious organisms contribute to a variety of diseases including cardiovascular, diabetes and cancer.
The BioScience Center houses four floors of research laboratories and a 100-seat auditorium. Adjoining the existing North Life Science building, the center is the home of the SDSU Heart Institute, the Center for Microbial Sciences and other Core programs. Delivered under the Design/Build format, PCA worked closely with SDSU researchers and state government agencies to develop a winning project. PCA also participated in early design and constructability issues with the contractor and owner to stay on budget and schedule. Specific to the SDSU BioScience Center are four Core facilities, each of which addresses unique aspects of research and development:

Flow-Cytometry Core Facility
Imaging Core Facility
Metabolics Core Facility
Mouse Genomics Core Facility
