Project Info.
PCA designed this state-of-the-art, multi-purpose complex, which is expected to provide modern facilities for a wide range of science, technology, and engineering capabilities.

The new facility will be comprised of two buildings to be used for offices and light laboratories and an adjacent parking garage on the Los Alamos campus. The buildings’ sophisticated design is unobtrusive and cohesive with local terrain that includes nearby mountains, stepping up the natural topography in a minimally-invasive manner.  The project is aiming for a LEED Gold/Platinum certification providing 50 percent energy and 50 percent water saving capability over that of a conventionally-designed building. Design elements include garden roofs to reduce heat islands, wide areas for solar collecting devices, rain water harvesting systems and flexible floor plans that are critical for the use of highly adaptable modular partition and furniture systems.
