Pacific Cornerstone Architects, Inc., has been selected by Murphy Development Company to be the Lead Architect for the Brown Field Technolgy Park. Murphy Development Co. recently annouced development will start on Brown Field Technology Park, a 50-acre corporate industrial and office park that flanks SR-905 at the Britannia Boulevard on/off ramp in Otay Mesa.

Final maps are recorded and all entitlements have been secured for development up to 3.2 million square feet, making this a shovel-ready project. The property is in an ideal location for business, positioned within a US Department of Commerce Foreign Trade Zone and within an Enterprise Zone, which both offer important tax incentives for local companies.

“Brown Field Technology Park offers potential tenants state-of-the-art design, large setbacks, impeccable corporate image and landscaping, and LEED-inspired energy efficiency, coupled with San Diego’s lowest occupancy costs,” says R. Michael Murphy, president of Murphy Development, in a prepared statement. Brown Field Technology Park is located just 20 miles from downtown San Diego and San Diego International Airport, and 22 miles from Kearny Mesa.

The project site is one of only three locations in San Diego county that can accommodate companies in need of a campus site larger than 500,000 square feet. “Lots are available for sale and construction of build-to-suit properties can commence immediately for fast-track delivery. The park can also accommodate companies in need of mid-rise office or engineering space, as Murphy Development has obtained approval from the San Diego Regional Airport Authority, allowing for development of six-story office buildings on the site.”

For over 10 years now, PCA has been directly involved with Master-planning and Design of the RiverView at Santee multi-use development. Under the direction from Minneapolis based Ryan Companies, the project is aiming to have a major office presence, a portion of which could be filled by some of San Diego’s many biotech companies. The overall project site will eventually occupy 104 acres East of the Santee Trolley Center, bordering the South bank of the San Diego River.

PCA has been selected by Qualcomm for the design of a new office Tenant Improvement. The project consists of 50,000 s.f. of Office and Laboratory space for the San Diego based Telecommunications company.

PCA has teamed up with Perkins + Will to provide project entitlement services for the Bio-Med Realty Innovation Campus. The proposed project will provide a premier life-science campus on the site and the contemporary, cutting edge design is intended to obtain a LEED Platinum rating. When completed, the facilities will be capable of attracting world-class life-science companies and research institutions as tenants.
