PCA provided design and construction administration services for an 8 and an 11 story student housing refresh project. The 11 story has completed and the 8 story is set to open for the 2017 fall semester. Full building renovations included: New Lobby and circulation areas, recreation room and student kitchen, lounges, elevator modernization, student dorm rooms, new exterior building entry, and laundry facilities.

PCA has been chosen as Architect for the $200 million Scripps Ranch Technology Park in San Diego. Murphy Development Company is the developer and Lusardi Construction Company is the General Contractor. Lush landscaping with both coastal and mountain views will contain five tech-driven building sites in close proximity to Lake Miramar. Murphy Development says that “it may now be San Diego’s turn to see an upsurge of commercial development for technology, defense and engineering companies.” See the full news article HERE.

PCA recently received building permit approval from the City of Santee for the San Diego Christian College tenant improvements. SDCC will be moving into 5 existing buildings located in the RiverView Office Park in Santee, CA and designed by PCA in 2005. The improvements consist of 2 new exterior pedestrian bridges connecting the 2-story buildings, classroom facilities, faculty office build-out, a performing arts center, Library, Bookstore, and a new full service cafeteria. Additional planned expansion for the future includes Student Apartments, and a Sports Complex adjacent to the college. Construction for SDCC will be underway this month and classes are scheduled to start in late January of 2014.

Working directly with a team of Teradata’s executives and facility management personnel, PCA recently completed an entire 1st floor remodel for this tech industry leader. Work included a complete remodel of the main customer lobby, employee/security lobby, multiple conference rooms and an added employee lounge with food service and coffee bar. By removing many of the hard wall barriers and using transparent materials, PCA was able to open up the floor plan and blend the spaces together – creating a sense of layering between rooms and allowing visual access and day lighting into some of the more interesting spaces without sacrificing security.
